Braino is a legendary scientist or genius of sorts. What exactly he did or when he lived (if he is even deceased) is unknown, but Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth considers him a great inspiration alongside Leonardo da Vinci, Euclid and Copernicus. Braino has a bulging Brain and a horse that also has a bulging brain.
A statue of him in a park on Planet Vinci makes it possible that either Vinci was his place of birth, or that he is as respected there as on Earth (which would make sense considering that the Vincians are extremely intelligent). He does not, however, resemble the native people of Planet Vinci in appearance.
